The Simple Woman's Daybook~November 9th Edition

Join Peggy and other daybook writers here. I hope you have a great week. Doylene

FOR TODAY... from Doylene's daybook

Outside my window... it's a little dreary looking. The leaves have fallen and left the trees looking bare.

I am thinking... what a wonderful time all of the family had at my granddaughter Adrian's baby shower. She is having a girl and will name he Maddie. I can hardly wait for her to arrive.

I am thankful for... the strength the Lord gives me to accomplish my housework.

I am wearing... lounging pjs.

I am remembering... last Thanksgiving and how much fun the family had. I can't believe it's time for another one already. Time flies when you're my age.

I am going... to the frozen food outlets to buy dinners and chicken to put in the freezer.

I am reading... The Sound of Sleigh Bells by Cindy Woodsmall. It's a beautiful book and I'm enjoying it very much. I won this book on the blog A Well Watered Garden.

I am hoping...to reach my goal of two lbs lost by next Monday. It's not easy to lose weight for me.

On my mind... the trip to Branson on the 19th. I'm going with my sisters and Mama. We will have a great time.

From the learning rooms... Dakota and I start on the second DVD of My Baby Can Read. She's doing a great job with her words. She enjoys it a lot.

Noticing that... my house has been neglected this last week. I've been in too much pain to stand for very long. I will start my back exercises today.

Pondering these words... A word fitly spoken in like apples of gold in pictures of silver. -- Proverbs 25:11

From the kitchen... not much. I cleaned it and made coffee, oatmeal with cottage cheese and blueberries.

Around the house... Mason is sleeping, Dakota is playing with her toys making gleeful sounds.

One of my favorite things~ reading other ladies blogs. It's like visiting their homes.

Please thank me for reading your blog on your blog. I love your comments and conversation. I read all the precious comments I get. They are very encouraging to me. Thank you for visiting my blog. Doylene

From my picture journal.. This is my daughter Darla and Dakota at Playworld.

Phil 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I know I'm going to love getting to know you better, Doylene. I have been craving simplicity lately and been enjoying being at home. I work online from home now so I get to take moments and step outside in the backyard for a break. I'm noticing the beauty of the flowers and mountains and the sounds of the birds.

Blessings,
Debbie

I like the name Maddie. I've not read any of Cindy Woodsmall's books, I've seen her name frequently it seems though, it sounds familiar.

I enjoyed getting to know more about you.

The weight doesn't seem to want to leave me, either. I've been thinking it's been with me so long, maybe I should keep it. :) (Any excuse for some cake....)

I have been struggling to lose weight for a little bit now. It seems like the first pounds drop off so easy. I have felt a little down about it. But I have to keep going!!! I'm going to pray for you while I pray for myself:) We can do this right??? Right. I hope that you're having a great week. I also like reading other ladies blogs for the same reason as you. It's wonderful to gain encouragement and insight. ~Jhona~
